Dr. Rihlat Said Mohamed (PhD) is Director of Country Support at Amp Health, an organization that partners with African governments and sectoral partners to strengthen leadership, management, and implementation capacity. She leads multi-country initiatives supporting health system governance, program performance, and strategic partnerships across several countries in Africa, including vaccination, maternal and child health, malaria and tuberculosis control, and WASH programs.
A public health professional with over 15 years of experience, her work spans health systems strengthening, maternal and child health, and the social determinants of health. In her role, she collaborates closely with governments and major global health partners to translate strategy into effective implementation and sustainable impact.
Dr. Said Mohamed previously held academic and research positions at the University of Cambridge in the UK and the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Trained as a biological anthropologist, her research focuses on early-life determinants of health, child growth, and nutrition in African populations, with several peer-reviewed publications.
