Dr. Jacqueline W. Kitulu, MBS, OGW, is the President of the World Medical Association, 20225- 2026, and a distinguished healthcare leader with over two decades of experience advancing health systems, policy, and governance in Kenya, across Africa, and globally.

A General Practitioner and partner at Karen Surgery, she previously served as the first female President of the Kenya Medical Association and has held leadership roles on numerous national and international boards across both the public and private sectors.

Dr. Kitulu has been a strong voice in global health advocacy, medical ethics, and the advancement of universal health coverage. She has also served in senior public service, including as a Presidential Appointee to the National Economic and Social Council. In recognition of her service, she has received Kenya’s state honors of Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) and Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW).

She holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi
