Dr Eniola Olubukola Cadmus (MBBS, MPH, PhD, FWACP) is a Consultant Community Physician, Senior Lecturer at the University of Ibadan, and Coordinator of its MSc Global Health programme in the Department of Community Medicine. She serves as an Honorary Consultant at Nigeria’s premier geriatric facility, the Chief Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre (CTAGC).
As Team Lead for the Community Geriatrics Unit, her research champions “ageing in place” and addresses critical gaps in long-term care across resource-constrained settings. With over 60 peer-reviewed publications, her pivotal work on elder abuse led to her appointment to the WHO Expert Committee on Violence against Older Women.
Recently, Dr Cadmus spearheaded the Capacity Building and Resources for Caregivers of Older Persons (CARes) project, developing a pioneering training manual to build the capacity of informal caregivers. Dr Cadmus is deeply committed to translating community-based research into actionable health policies that improve the well-being of target populations, with a special focus on older persons.
