A cardiologist and clinical researcher by training, he is responsible for the Novo Nordisk
Foundation’s Cardiovascular Disease department and all foundation activities that relate to cardiovascular diseases. Responsibilities include initiation and development of clinical initiatives focusing on prevention, diagnosis or treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Furthermore, he represents the foundation in contacts with external collaborations and stakeholders relevant within the cardiovascular field, such as professional- and other non-profit organisations, policymakers, academic researchers and clinicians.
