Peter Yeboah is the Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), one of Africa’s most effective faith-based health networks. Though CHAG facilities make up only about 7% of Ghana’s health infrastructure, they deliver roughly 25% of all healthcare services through a network of around 350 facilities nationwide. CHAG piloted the community-based health insurance model that informed Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme, which now covers over 60% of the population, second only to Rwanda in sub-Saharan Africa.
With three decades of experience in health systems development, policy, and management, Peter Yeboah has been a leading voice for UHC, primary health care, and health equity in Ghana and across the region. He is a former Chair of the Africa Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP), and holds advanced qualifications from the London School of Economics and Political Science(LSE), the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine(LSHTM), and the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam (KIT).
