Tafi Mazikana is the Co-founder of Vimbo Health, a South African and Kenyan based Mobile App that aims to treat Depression and Anxiety more effectively by serving African Lived Experiences. It aims to improve outcomes through CBT based techniques, infused with African culture, language, and pathways for lived experiences such as “Living with HIV/AIDS”.

Tafi’s journey in mental health began after finding help for his own difficulties through a digital intervention whilst living in the UK. This led him to become passionate about making localised options for “the people back home”.

Today, Vimbo has helped thousands and research shows it can treat 52% of moderate depression and/or anxiety.
