Dr. Alaa Sadek is an MHPSS Consultant and PhD researcher in Mental Health with extensive experience supporting refugees, migrants, and conflict‑affected communities in Egypt. She has worked across EU, ICRC, IFRC, UNFPA and USAID‑funded programs, delivering psychosocial interventions for children, adolescents, youth, and older adults. Her work emphasizes strengthening resilience among vulnerable populations by bridging evidence‑based clinical MHPSS approaches with community‑centered support.
Through her current role with Life Makers Foundation Egypt, Alaa leads trauma‑informed interventions for African refugees and migrants,conducting structured psychosocial assessments, counseling, and capacity‑building for caregivers and frontline workers. She also volunteers with Africa CDC’s AVoHC Rapid Response Teams, embedding psychosocial support into emergency preparedness and public health strategies. Alaa remains committed to empowering communities and strengthening well‑being in times of crisis.
