Dr Ambrose Katungi Muhwezi (MD, MPH) serves as the s at Senior Director of Healthcare ProgramWe Care Solar. He possesses extensive expertise in international health development initiatives, maternal and neonatal health service delivery, and health systems strengthening project management within the governmental and non-profit sectors. He has collaborated closely with national, regional, and district health authorities to elevate the quality of care for mothers and newborns. Before joining We Care Solar, he worked as the Technical Advisor for Maternal and Newborn Health and Tuberculosis (MNCH&TB) with Doctors with Africa-CUAMM in Uganda. Earlier in his professional journey, he worked with the Ministry of Health in Uganda as a medical officer and national trainer for maternal and neonatal care. He earned his medical degree from Gulu University, a Master of Public Health from Makerere University, and a postgraduate diploma in healthcare management and leadership from Eaton Business School. His professional endeavours are guided by a profound commitment to promoting safe motherhood, reducing health disparities, and empowering women to facilitate social transformation.
