Dr. Elizabeth Ekirapa-Kiracho is an Associate Professor of Health Economics at the Makerere University School of Public Health and a distinguished leader in health systems and health financing. A medical doctor by training, she holds a Master of Public Health in Health Economics and a PhD in Health Systems Research. With over two decades of experience in academia, policy advisory, and research leadership, she has played a pivotal role in shaping national health policy and financing reforms in Uganda. Her work focuses on strengthening health systems and advancing sustainable health financing. She has led the development and evaluation of key policy frameworks, including the National Health Financing Strategy, the National Benefits Package, the Results-Based Financing Framework, and the Health Financing Progress Matrix. She is also recognized as an award-winning communicator and an influential voice in bridging research, policy, and leadership in global health.
