Mette Ide Davidsen is Director of Global & Public Health at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, where she leads the health promotion, disease prevention, and health equity efforts across Denmark, the Nordics, and Europe. Mette oversees key teams, manages the global health portfolio—including the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals—and sits on the board of the Center for Childhood Health. With more than 20 years’ experience in health systems, Mette has worked with the World Bank and UN in Vietnam and Indonesia, developed global health programmes in India and East Africa, and helped establish NNF offices in Delhi and Nairobi. Previously, Mette worked in the Danish Ministry of Health and Danish Regions, joining the Foundation to help develop the Steno Centers. Mette holds an MPH in Health Systems Management from LSHTM and a degree in Political Science from Aarhus University, and has been with the Foundation since 2016.
