Dr. Rebecca Musyoki is a pharmacist and public health professional with over a decade of experience in health systems strengthening, financing, policy, and strategic partnerships. She currently serves as Head of Health Financing at Nairobi City County, where she is leading the implementation of social health insurance reforms, resource mobilization, and financial governance to improve access, equity, and quality of care for over five million residents.
She has played a central role in translating national health financing reforms into operational reality, increasing facility revenues and expanding service availability in Primary Health Care positioning Nairobi as a model learning site for subnational implementation. Known for bridging policy, practice, and analysis, she leverages evidence to inform decision-making in complex reform environments.
Dr. Musyoki co-conceptualized the Nairobi Health Scientific Conference and serves on the National Health Financing Technical Working Group, as well as county-level committees including the UHC and Sector Working Group, MoU Review Committee, Research and Ethics Committee, and Budget Implementation Committee. She holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi.
